about me

My first name is Yiming, last name is Zhang. I am from China, my hometown is Ningbo that is near to the Shanghai. My hometown is beautiful place. It has many tall buildings and wide streets. I came to US because here has a good education system. In China, university system like spoon-feed, too many teachers just spoon-feed their students, so students like computer, and then teachers spoon-feed information to the computer. Students’ foundation is very sturdy, while I admit its good point, but I can see its shortcoming, because Chinese students are fear new things, meaning is they don’t know how to face the new things. I have been study in SCSU 4 years, I saw that in the American school, students can take the subjects which they like, and it means they can take geography and physics at the same time. American education is more concerned the students’ comprehensive ability, but the Chinese education system stresses obedience and rote leaning over creativity.

I like American education system, but I didn’t like American food. In China, food is very delicious. Chinese food is very particular about color, smell and taste; because people care about the taste and quality of food, also care about looks. And China has a lot of cities and different nations, so each nation has different tastes for food. However, in America, staple foods are around wheat, barley, and potato.
